Teams arriving at the rink for practice on Friday before 4pm may use the main rink doors of the Family Ice Center. Team busses can park in the general parking area in front of the rink for these practices. Please note that the skater drop off and entry points for skaters and spectators will be different starting at 4pm on Friday and all day during the competition on Saturday.
Please do not leave skate bags in the lobby at any time during practice ice. Please use the designated bag drop areas in the “A’ or “B” rink. Locker rooms 1-5 are located in Rink “A” (the Competition Rink). Locker rooms 6-11 are located in Rink “B”. Locker room assignments are on the practice ice schedules.
The off–ice facility at the Rec Center will be available from 12pm – 9pm on Friday for your use – warm up, hair & makeup, team meetings, eating, etc. It will open at 6am – end of competition on Saturday. If you are interested in having access to the off-ice space outside of these times, please email Stephanie Roth. Carry-ins of food are allowed. This is our fourth year using the newly renovated Rec Center to house off-ice space—we hope your team finds it useful!!
Friday (after 4 pm) and Saturday Practice Ice
Teams arriving at the rink for practice on Friday after 4pm as well as all practice on Saturday morning should follow the procedure detailed under RINK LOGISTICS below. Please note – wristbands or lanyards will be required for entry into Rink A all day Saturday.
REGISTRATION
Registration is located in the “A” rink (see MAP). Registration will be open Friday and Saturday during practice ice and the competition.
RINK LOGISTICS DURING COMPETITION (SAT)
A map showing the general layout of the rink can be found on the here. A team escort will greet you as you enter the locker room at the assigned time. Your team will be escorted to the competition rink. Skate guards are necessary. PLEASE NOTE –THERE WILL BE NO WARM-UP ICE PRIOR TO COMPETITION. The officials will be seated on the skaters’ left as they enter the ice. ALL teams will exit the ice into the Kiss N Cry. IJS teams will await the announcement of their scores. 6.0 teams will proceed immediately to their Locker Rooms. Closed judging will be used for all 6.0 events i.e. results will be posted at the conclusion of each event. Your team escort will meet you at the exit with your skate guards, and then will escort the team back to the locker room. Please help the competition stay on schedule by reporting to your locker room promptly at the assigned time and being mindful of your locker room exit times. Please allow plenty of time and monitor weather conditions in order to get to the Family Ice Center at least 45 -60 minutes prior to your locker room time. Allow ample time to travel between the Rec Center and Family Ice Center as the parking lots may be congested at times.
Bag Drop starting at 4pm on Friday and all day Saturday will be as follows: Teams assigned to Locker Rooms 1-4 in the A rink may use the bag drop areas in the B Rink OR the unlocked cages under the bleachers across from the A rink Locker Rooms. CAUTION – THE BLEACHERS ARE OPEN ABOVE THE CAGES. THE LOC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO ITEMS STORED UNDER THE BLEACHERS. Teams assigned to Locker Rooms 5-10 in the B Rink must use the bag drops in the designated areas in the “B” rink. There is absolutely no storage in the LOBBY at any time. Skate bags may NOT be brought into the stands in the Competition Rink.
There is NO room in the Family Ice Center for off-ice warm-up, make up, hair, etc. The mezzanine is no longer available for these activities. Please use the REC Center.
SPECTATOR ENTRANCE
Admissions will be located at the set of metal doors to the right of the Main Entrance and adjacent to the “B” rink (see MAP). The Main Entrance will be “Exit Only” beginning at 4pm on Friday through Saturday. Pre-Ordered Tickets and Programs can be picked up at Registration on Friday. Pre-Orders will be picked up at Admissions on Saturday. Tickets purchased at the gate are $7 per day (Children 10 and under are FREE). Programs purchased at the gate are $3 each. All programs include a detailed time schedule.
PARKING
Parking for passenger vehicles is located on the north side of the Family Ice Center. The entrance is off 11th Street. The Fond du Lac Avenue entrance is for team busses only. Parking on 11th Street may result in your vehicle being towed. Overflow parking for passenger vehicles and parking for team busses is available in the County Fairground lots adjacent to the Rink. There is no bus parking in the Family Ice Center lots. Parking for the Rec Center is on the east side of that building. Parking on the east side of the Family Ice Center is reserved for officials only.
TEAM DROP OFF AND PICK UP
FRIDAY AFTER 4PM AND ALL DAY SATURDAY:
The Skater Entrance is located at the North East corner of the Family Ice Center near the Studio Rink (See Map).Team busses should enter the Family Ice Center from the secondary driveway off 11th Street (just west of the main entrance) and proceed into the ONE WAY BUS LANE. Skaters, coaches and chaperones will enter at the marked SKATER ENTRANCE on the Spectators will enter at the next set of doors marked SPECTATOR ENTRANCE. Busses should then turn left onto the Main Driveway and proceed out to 11th Street. The same procedure should be followed when teams are being picked up. TEAMS SHOULD CONTACT THEIR DRIVER WHEN THEY ARE READY TO BE PICKED UP – BUSSES CAN NOT IDLE IN THE BUS LANE.
Skaters arriving by car should park in the rink lots and walk to the SKATER ENTRANCE. Passenger vehicles will NOT be allowed in the BUS LANE. *Due to recent wintry weather in Fond du Lac, Please exercise caution when walking on the walkways and parking lots.
RESULTS AND AWARDS
Results will be posted upstairs in the mezzanine after the conclusion of each event. Copies of the results can be purchased upstairs at the Results Table. There are NO on-ice awards. Medaling teams should pick up their medals at the Results Table in the Mezzanine. Please allow at least 20 minutes following posting of the results to pick up medals. The Lacey Meinel Memorial Award will be given to each of the winners of the two Open Juvenile Divisions. These trophies can be picked up at the Results Table. Scores for the IJS will be announced for each team. These scores are unofficial until verified by the Technical Controller.
CRITIQUES
Complimentary off-ice critiques with officials were available to all teams by reservation only. On-ice and off-ice critique schedules for teams who requested them can be found on the Schedules page. Due to time constraints we were unable to accommodate all requests for on-ice critiques. Requests were handled by date of postmark.
